Accreditation
EPICT - The European Pedagogical ICT Licence is a professional development programme for teachers combining pedagogical knowledge of ICT integration with basic ICT skills training. It is designed not only to offer teachers basic ICT skills on a personal and a professional level but also to focus specifically on the pedagogical integration of ICT in teaching practice. EPICT also introduces a European quality standard for teachers. Programme content, method, technology and processes are therefore controlled internationally by the EPICT Group and nationally by the EPICT country, to ensure accreditation.

The EPICT Ireland Steering Group is currently working with the major Teacher Training Institutions in Ireland to develop learning pathways linking the EPICT Licence to higher academic qualifications and nationally approved training schemes including Summer Courses.
